As we wander around the world we have found these travel tips to be helpful!
Also, let’s be honest, many of these tips have come from our failures!
1. Passport
I like to have a passport wallet where I keep my passport, plane tickets, insurance card, vaccine card, and emergency contact information.
2. Travel Documents
These are crucial to have printed out and saved as a PDF on your phone!
3. Apple Airtag/Luggage Tracking Device
Tuck one of these in your checked bag to know its location. We have first hand experience using the airtags when we were in Rome and my luggage was in Colorado!
4. Travel Plugs
Making sure anything you need to plug into an outlet will match your destination - we have found that all in one plugs tend to break down. We suggest individual plugs or a mini power strip with usb plugs works best for two people.
5. Carry On luggage
With all of your prescriptions, a change of clothes, undergarments, and pajamas! I also like to keep all electronic devices and chargers in my carry on. Back to my luggage being in Colorado while we were in Rome!
6. Reservations
When traveling abroad or to a major city make sure to make reservations well in advance. Museums and tourist attractions tend to sell out quickly, especially if you are going during peak season.
7. Itinerary
Have an itinerary, but leave room for exploration! Ask the hotel clerk or your server at dinner where the best spots are!
8. Travel Books
We like to buy travel books or research online for our upcoming destinations. You can get a lay of the land by looking at maps and researching what is around your hotel.
